En : Some projects impose themselves as an obvious path.
They are born from a deep attachment to a place, from an intimate resonance that withstands the passage of time. Sicily, for me, is one of those places.
It then becomes difficult — if not impossible — to bring it to a close.
This photographic work is part of an ongoing process of returning: returning to the land, to the light, to the faces, to the details of everyday life.
It is a visual narrative in progress, where each journey adds new layers of meaning and memory.
Fr : Certains projets s’imposent comme une évidence. Ils naissent d’un attachement profond à un lieu, d’une résonance intime qui résiste au temps. La Sicile, pour moi, est de ceux-là. Il devient alors difficile – voire impossible – d’y mettre un point final.
Ce travail photographique s’inscrit dans une démarche de retour constant : retour au territoire, à la lumière, aux visages, aux détails du quotidien. Il s'agit d'une narration visuelle en construction, où chaque voyage apporte de nouvelles strates de sens, de mémoire.
